Students are expected to write a critically appraised topic (CAT) paper briefly covering the etiology, symptoms, functional movement presentation, diagnosis, treatment options (surgical/nonsurgical), possible complications, precautions, prognosis, and the appropriate physical therapy interventions. Papers should be clinically user friendly and may contain diagrams or charts/tables as necessary to assist with clarity and ease of reference. Papers may be a maximum of 6 pages. A minimum of 8 references (at least five coming from peer-reviewed journals) are required to support your paper. Most of these should be within the last 5 years. Student groups will present their findings to the class in 20-minute presentations the final week of class. A component of each student’s grade will depend upon their ability to self-reflect on their overall performance as well as their ability to provide constructive feedback to their peers’ performance
