Imagine yourself as the professor and your job is to grade the following Informative Outline submitted by a student.

There are five mistakes in the outline pertaining to the basic format and assignment requirements. Your job is to identify 3 of the 5 errors and provide a possible correction. The mistakes involve elements of outlining discussed in course material, and are not related to spelling, grammar, etc.

Note: with exception of the five mistakes, this outline provides a general view for how your outline should look.

Information Outline Instructions:

  1. Students are free to choose their own topics provided they      are appropriate.
  2. Students will submit an Informative Speech rough draft worth      a general assignment grade. Suggested revisions will be offered. Students      are free to make necessary changes for their final draft submission. Note:      the final draft is worth more points than the first draft, so making the      suggested changes is important.
  3. Each outline must contain the proper elements provided by the      professor’s template and listed below:
    1. Title
    2. General purpose
    3. Specific purpose
    4. Thesis
    5. Introduction
    6. Main points
    7. Subpoints
    8. Transition statements
    9. Conclusion
    10. Minimum of 5 outside sources (follow APA formating       guidelines).
